Vape Events and Expos in Canada – 2025 Calendar

Canada’s vaping scene is booming with events that bring together enthusiasts, retailers, and industry experts. Vapers gather eagerly at expos and conventions that showcase the latest devices, e-liquids, and innovations in the industry. These gatherings not only offer a chance to see new products first-hand, but also help build a strong community. Canada is “a vibrant hub full of exciting events and conventions” where attendees learn about new trends and network. Clutch Vape keeps an eye on these gatherings, highlighting opportunities to connect and discover top products for adult vapers (note: all attendees are verified adults).

Major conventions and local meetups give Canadians a way to stay updated on e-cigarette developments and regulations. In 2025, several big expos are on the calendar across Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver, and other cities. Here, we will discuss when will be  vape events and expos in Canada.

Annual Vape Conventions in Canada

Major Canadian vape conventions gather large crowds in convention centers. These expos typically last two to three days and feature hundreds of exhibitor booths. Visitors see new mods, e-liquids, and accessories on display, often with live demos and panel discussions. Organizers pack the schedule with workshops, contests, and giveaways. For example, one large expo included competitions, giveaways, magicians and DJs to entertain attendees. The result is a lively atmosphere where “the sheer number of freebies on offer is astounding”. These events help vapers sample products and learn about cutting-edge technology straight from manufacturers and vendors.

One of Canada’s premier vape events is the Vape Expo Canada (often called CVE). This show is held annually in major cities like Toronto and Vancouver. It features extensive exhibitor booths, guest speakers, and product launches. Attendees can expect to find every type of vaping gear on display, from starter kits to high-end mods. The expo also typically has a day reserved for industry trade visitors (“business-to-business”) followed by open public days. This allows both retailers and consumers to attend. According to event organizers, thousands of people often visit. (Tip: Check the expo’s official site for the 2025 dates; similar events have taken place in summer months in past years)

Another key convention is the Okanagan Vaping Expo in Kelowna, British Columbia. This regional event has a more laid-back vibe, focusing on lifestyle and community. Held against the backdrop of scenic vineyards, the Okanagan expo features workshops, flavor tasting sessions, and a wide variety of products. It draws a dedicated crowd of local vapers and industry reps who enjoy networking in a relaxed setting. Food, music, and demonstrations are common. Organizers highlight the community spirit – attendees meet fellow vapers while sampling new e-liquids. This expo shows how vaping events can blend learning with local culture and fun.

The Western Canada Vaping Expo is another major annual show, held in Calgary. It showcases a diverse lineup of exhibitors – from national brands to local retailers – and offers sampling stations and live demos. For instance, booths often provide free taste tests of new e-liquid flavors to visitors. The expo also runs educational panels on topics like device safety and regulations. In past years it has been in spring or fall. In addition, as the vaping and cannabis cultures overlap, events like the Toronto Vape & Cannabis Expo have emerged. This expo explores both industries together, reflecting Canada’s recent cannabis legalization. It features discussions on how vaping devices and cannabis products intersect. Overall, each convention brings its own theme, but all share a focus on the latest adult vaping products and knowledge.

Events by Province (Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver)

Toronto, ON

Toronto is a hotspot for Canadian vaping events. The city has hosted the Toronto stop of the Vape Expo Canada (CVE), drawing vendors and vapers from Ontario and beyond. For example, past Toronto expos ran Friday to Sunday and expected over 8,000 attendees. The expo floor features hundreds of booths. Visitors can explore new mods, pods, and e-liquid flavors. A second event is the Toronto Vape & Cannabis Expo. This trade show is geared toward both industries and offers education on regulations. It has panels on vaping and cannabis products, plus booths selling related merchandise. While primarily a trade event, it also welcomes adults interested in learning about the growing combined market. In addition to expos, Toronto shops and cafes sometimes host informal meetups and competitions for enthusiasts. These smaller gatherings allow local vapers to share tips and try new gear together.

Montreal, QC

Montreal’s vaping scene includes some regional events and meetups, though it has fewer large expos than Toronto. A prominent annual show is the Montreal Cannabis Expo (formerly planned for 2025), which – while focused on cannabis – often includes vendors of vape hardware and e-liquids. (Note: Dates can change, so check the official site for the 2025 schedule.) Beyond expos, French-speaking vaping communities organize local events in Quebec. Smaller vape shop gatherings and cloud-chasing competitions are common. These local meetups are great for learning new tricks and finding out about product specials. Many local vape shops in Montreal also announce events via social media, so joining regional Facebook groups or Reddit forums can help you stay informed.

Vancouver, BC

Vancouver hosts its share of national and local vape events. The city is a regular stop for the Vape Expo Canada series, often in late summer or early fall. This means Vancouver vapers get the same access to new products and brands as those in Toronto. One unique event near Vancouver is the Vancouver Cloud Champs competition (an annual cloud-chasing contest) that attracts participants nationwide. Competitors see how big vapor clouds they can blow and battle in coil-building challenges. Even though Cloud Champs is more of a competition than an expo, it highlights Vancouver’s active vaping community. In addition, smaller meetups at local shops or vape lounges are frequent in Vancouver. These gatherings emphasize the social side of vaping – sharing flavor samples, DIY tips, and supporting local businesses. Community members often promote these via online forums and local groups.

How to Exhibit at a Vape Show?

Vendors and manufacturers interested in exhibiting should begin by visiting the event’s official website. Most vape expos provide an Exhibitor Information section where you can download an exhibitor kit or manual. You typically need to reserve booth space well in advance, choosing your booth size and location. After registering, prepare the necessary documentation (e.g. business licenses, product safety certificates) as required by the event. Shipping logistics and booth construction are also key steps – some expos offer contractor services or recommend local suppliers for furniture, signs, and electrical needs. Clutch Vape advises exhibitors to have a clear brand display and plenty of product samples and inventory on hand.

On show days, each exhibitor must staff their booth with knowledgeable representatives. Bring business cards and marketing materials to hand out. Since these shows are geared to adults, ensure all staff are of legal vaping age (typically 19+ in Canada). Exhibitors should note these hours carefully. Set up your booth before the public arrives on day one. During the event, engage visitors with live demos or interactive displays – this is your chance to impress vape shop owners and hobbyists alike. Keep track of leads and contacts; building relationships at expos can pay off in future sales.

Finally, follow event rules and safety guidelines. Bring your own point-of-sale setup if you plan to take orders on-site. Check if the expo enforces any product restrictions or labeling requirements in accordance with local law. Often, expos provide exhibitor badges for staff and outline booth decor rules in their manual. With thorough preparation and a polished presentation, companies can make the most of their expo experience and boost their brand visibility in the Canadian market.

Meetups for Vape Enthusiasts

Aside from big conventions, informal meetups are popular among Canadian vapers. Local vape shops often host or advertise small events such as demo nights, loyalty customer gatherings, or cloud-chasing contests. These are usually casual: enthusiasts bring their devices, trade e-juice samples, and share vaping tips. For newcomers, a local meetup is a friendly way to ask questions and see a variety of devices in action. The atmosphere tends to be relaxed; sometimes there are mini-contests or prize draws. Many of these events are one-off or recurring monthly, so it pays to check with the shops directly.

Community-organized competitions are another form of meetup. For example, a nationwide Cloud Champs event is held annually in Vancouver, where vapers compete in challenges like blowing the biggest vapor cloud or building the best coil. These contests have become spectator events, drawing crowds who cheer on participants and sometimes score freebies. Other meetups might focus on DIY e-liquid mixing lessons or device building workshops. Organizers emphasize responsible vaping at all times.

To find meetups, look to vaping forums and social media groups. Online communities (Reddit subforums, Facebook groups, Discord channels) often post announcements about local gatherings. Joining these online groups is a good way to learn about any upcoming events in your area. Email newsletters from local vape shops or associations can also list meetup calendars. In summary, meetups are a grassroots way for enthusiasts to connect more personally than at large expos.

Online Vape Community Events

In today’s digital age, some interactions occur online even in the vaping world. While most major expos are in-person, virtual events and webinars have emerged as supplements. (It’s worth noting that industry leaders emphasize face-to-face networking; “thought leadership and conversations… aren’t just happening online” but in real venues.) Nevertheless, many Canadian vaping communities maintain active online calendars.

Virtual events may include web seminars on vaping science or policy, Q&A livestreams with industry experts, and brand-hosted product demos on social media. Some expo organizers stream parts of their events live for those who cannot attend. Internationally, vape trade shows have introduced digital passes, though Canada has focused more on physical attendance. Still, one can find virtual vape summits or conference sessions offered by research associations or public health groups on vaping in schools (aimed at educators). These are not marketing expos, but they engage adult stakeholders via online webinars.

Social media plays a big role in the community too. Special online vape parties sometimes trend on Twitter or Instagram, often coordinated by influencers and supported by retailers. These are informal but count as virtual events. Finally, online forums and chat groups act like continuous conventions – many host “Ask Me Anything” days with well-known vapers, or feature video meetups. While these online activities cannot fully replace the excitement of a live expo, they allow remote participants to feel included. Online forums and social media groups offer important platforms for discussion and keep the community engaged. Tech-savvy vapers should join prominent forums and follow brands on social media to catch any virtual events or livestream announcements.

FAQs

When is the next vape expo in Canada?

Organizers announce specific dates on expo websites well before the event. Check sites like Canada’s Vape Expo (CVE) or event calendars like Vaping Post for up-to-date listings. Keep in mind that dates can shift, so watch official announcements on Twitter or Facebook pages for “Canada’s Vape Expo” and local event listings.

Can consumers attend vape events?

Yes – most vape expos welcome adult consumers (18+ or 19+ depending on province). For instance, Canada’s Vape Expo typically has a Business-to-Business day followed by Public days open to all adults. Organizers always enforce age restrictions (no minors allowed). You should be prepared to show ID at the door. As a visitor, you can walk the show floor, talk to vendors, and purchase products directly from booths if retail sales are permitted. (Note: some trade shows focus on industry only, so verify if an expo is open to the public when buying tickets.) In short, most Canadian vaping conventions allow regular adult vapers to attend and shop.

Are there virtual vape expos?

Virtually all major vape events in Canada are in-person. While the pandemic led to some online webinars and discussions, Canadian expos have largely returned to live formats. You might see virtual meetups or live-streamed panels on YouTube or Zoom, but there is no permanent, large-scale “virtual vape expo” in Canada at this time. It’s best to plan for attending physical shows when possible, and use online resources as a supplement. Follow expo organizers online, as they may offer digital content (like recorded talks) for those who can’t travel.

How do I join Canadian vape communities?

Joining the community is easy if you follow a few steps. Start by visiting online forums and social media groups dedicated to vaping. You can also ask local vape shops like clutch vapes if they have mailing lists or event boards. Attending meetups or expos naturally gets you connected to the community. Remember to follow and engage respectfully. By participating online and in-person, you’ll quickly find peers who share your interest and can invite you to the next event.
